AI search visibility for indie founders and vibe coders

Is your vibe-coded app invisible to ChatGPT?

People now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI for recommendations. We ask them the questions your buyers ask, 3 times each, and show you exactly how often your app or website gets mentioned, how it gets described, and who gets recommended instead. Then we tell you what to fix.

Or see what's in the report

Built for apps made with Cursor, Lovable, Bolt, Replit, v0, Claude Code, or by hand, and it works for any site with a public URL. Independent service, not affiliated with any AI company or coding tool.

Works for any site with a public URL

  • Apps
  • SaaS products
  • Landing pages
  • Online shops
  • Local business websites
  • Portfolios and personal sites

If people might ask an AI to recommend something like what you offer, the report shows whether you come up.

You shipped fast. AI search might not see any of it.

Building is the easy part now. Getting found is not.

More and more people skip the search results page and just ask an AI: "What's the best habit tracker for ADHD?" or "What's a cheaper alternative to Notion for small teams?" If your app or site isn't in that answer, you don't get a second chance on page two. There is no page two.

Vibe-coded apps, like plenty of other sites, have a few common blind spots:

  • The page is empty without JavaScript. Many AI-built sites render everything in the browser. A lot of crawlers read the raw HTML, and if that's nearly blank, they may see little or nothing.
  • AI crawlers are blocked by accident. A wildcard rule in robots.txt can shut out GPTBot, PerplexityBot, or ClaudeBot without you ever noticing.
  • Nobody can quote you. If your homepage doesn't say what you offer, who it's for, and why it's different in plain words, AI has nothing clean to repeat.
  • You've never actually checked. Asking ChatGPT once tells you almost nothing. Answers change from run to run.

You can't fix what you can't see. So let's look.

Three steps. No calls, no dashboards to learn.

  1. Tell us about your site.

At checkout, enter your email and your app or website URL, plus your app or site name and main competitors if you want to. Takes under a minute.

  2. Our system runs the questions.

Our software automatically generates around 15 buyer-intent questions for your category, like "best [category] for [audience]" and "alternatives to [competitor]." Each one runs 3 times on ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI (approximated with Gemini plus Google Search grounding). It also checks whether AI crawlers can actually read your site.

  3. You get a clear report and a short fix list.

An automatically generated PDF that shows your mention rate on each engine, the exact words AI uses to describe you, who shows up instead, what's broken technically, and 3 to 5 fixes ranked by effort and impact.

What you get for $29

  • A one-line verdict. Where you stand, in plain English.
  • The method box. Which engines, how many questions, how many runs, and the date. No black box.
  • Your scorecard. Mention rate per engine (for example "4 of 45 answers"). Plus which questions triggered a mention.
  • Every question we asked. The full list, so you can rerun them yourself later.
  • How AI describes you. Quoted snippets when you were mentioned, with anything wrong or outdated flagged.
  • Who shows up instead. The competitors named, how often, on which engines, and what their sites do that yours doesn't.
  • Technical check. robots.txt: are GPTBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, and ClaudeBot allowed or blocked? Rendering: does your page show real text without JavaScript? llms.txt: present or missing? Basics: title, meta description, H1, JSON-LD schema, canonical tag, sitemap.
  • 3 to 5 prioritized fixes. Ranked by effort vs impact, one plain paragraph each.

AI Visibility Report: "HabitHero" (habithero.app)

Fictional app, made-up numbers, shown to illustrate the format.

Verdict: Mentioned in 6 of 135 answers (4%). Competitors dominate. Very fixable.

Method: 15 questions x 3 engines x 3 runs = 135 answers checked.

Scorecard: ChatGPT 4 of 45. Perplexity 2 of 45. Google AI (approximation) 0 of 45.

How AI describes you: "HabitHero is a simple streak app..." Accurate, but it never mentions your AI coach, which is your main feature.

Who shows up instead: Habitica (12 mentions), Streaks (9), Loop (6).

Technical: GPTBot allowed. ClaudeBot blocked by a wildcard rule. Raw HTML has 40 words (the site is client-rendered). No llms.txt. No schema.

Top fixes: (1) Pre-render your landing page. (2) Unblock ClaudeBot. (3) Add an answer-first intro. (4) Add an FAQ block and schema. (5) Publish an "alternatives to Habitica" page.

Don't want to write the fixes yourself? Get the Fix Pack.

The report tells you what's wrong. The Fix Pack hands you the fixes, generated automatically for your site and ready to paste.

Fix Pack ($49) includes:

  • A rewritten title tag, meta description, and H1
  • An answer-first intro: the 2 or 3 sentences at the top of your page that say what you are, who it's for, and why it's different, written so AI can quote it
  • An FAQ block built from the buyer questions in your report
  • JSON-LD schema (SoftwareApplication, plus FAQPage)
  • A draft llms.txt file
  • One ready-to-paste prompt for your AI coding tool (Cursor, Lovable, Bolt, Replit, v0, Claude Code, and similar) that applies all of the above to your site

You get it as a PDF plus plain text files, so nothing gets mangled when you copy it.

Bundle: Report + Fix Pack for $69. Save $9 and get both in one delivery.

The Fix Pack is generated automatically by our software from your report's findings, so it's only available as an add-on to a report or as part of the bundle. To add it to a $29 report, tick the Fix Pack box on the report checkout.

No fake rankings. Here's exactly how we test.

A lot of "AI SEO" tools hand you a single score or a "rank" in ChatGPT. That isn't how AI answers work. Ask the same question twice and you can get two different answers. So we don't pretend otherwise.

  • Repeated runs. Every question runs 3 times on every engine. We report how often you showed up, not one lucky (or unlucky) answer.
  • Mention rates, not rankings. "Mentioned in 4 of 45 answers" is something you can measure again next month. "You rank #3 in ChatGPT" is not.
  • Labeled approximations. Google's AI Overviews has no official API. We approximate Google's AI answers with Gemini plus Google Search grounding, and the report says so.
  • API, not scraping. We query the engines through their official APIs. Those answers can differ from what you see logged in to the consumer apps, and the report says that too.
  • Dated results. Every report shows the date it ran, because AI answers drift.
  • Every question included. You see the full list, so you can rerun any of it yourself.

We'd rather tell you a true "you're barely showing up, here's why" than a flattering number that means nothing.

FAQ

What exactly do I get for $29?

A PDF report showing how often ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI (approximated) mention your app or website across about 15 buyer-intent questions, run 3 times each. It includes how AI describes you, which competitors show up instead, a technical check of your site, and 3 to 5 prioritized fixes.

Which AI tools are checked?

ChatGPT (through OpenAI's API with web search), Perplexity (through its API), and Google's AI answers, approximated with Gemini plus Google Search grounding because AI Overviews has no official API. The approximation is labeled in your report. We don't currently test Claude, Copilot, Meta AI, or others.

How long does delivery take?

Most reports arrive within 24 hours. If yours is going to take longer, we'll email you to let you know. The same goes for the Fix Pack and the bundle.

Why would my results differ if I ask ChatGPT myself?

Three reasons. AI answers vary from run to run, even with the same question. We use the official APIs, which can behave differently from the logged-in consumer apps (which also use your chat history and location). And results drift over time as models and the web change. That's why we run every question 3 times and report rates instead of a single answer.

Do you guarantee my site will show up in ChatGPT after the fixes?

No. Nobody can honestly promise that. The fixes remove the common reasons AI can't find, read, or describe your site. They improve your odds. We recommend rechecking about 30 days after you apply them.

Do I need to have built my app with Cursor, Lovable, Bolt, or similar?

No. The report works for any public website. We built it with vibe coders in mind because client-rendered pages and accidental crawler blocks are especially common in AI-built apps, and the Fix Pack includes a prompt you can paste straight into your coding tool.

Does it work for regular websites, not just apps?

Yes. It works for any site with a public URL: apps, SaaS products, landing pages, online shops, local business websites, and portfolios. If people might ask an AI to recommend something like what you offer, the report shows whether you come up.

What do you need from me?

At checkout you enter your email and your app or website URL, plus your app or site name and main competitors if you want to. It takes under a minute. No logins, no code access, no tracking scripts.

What if my app or site is brand new and has zero mentions?

That's useful to know, and common. The report will still show who AI recommends instead, what those sites do differently, and whether anything technical is holding you back. Zero is a starting point you can measure against.

What's your refund policy?

If your report isn't useful, reply within 14 days of delivery and we'll refund you in full. Just reply to your delivery email or write to hello@shippedandseen.com. Full details are on our Refund policy page.

Are you affiliated with OpenAI, Google, Perplexity, or any coding tool?

No. ShippedAndSeen is an independent service. We use publicly available APIs. All product names belong to their owners.

Can I buy the Fix Pack on its own?

No. The Fix Pack is generated automatically from your report's findings, so it's available only as an add-on to a report ($29 + $49) or in the bundle ($69, which saves $9).

Find out if AI can see what you shipped.

$29. About 15 real buyer questions, 3 runs each, 3 engines. Honest numbers and a short list of fixes.
